About Me
I have over 14 years experience conducting full diagnostic dyslexia assessments and dyslexia screening assessments and working in a consultancy capacity for children and adults with a range of SpLDs.
I have worked with a wide range of students at all levels of education, from primary school through to FE. My clients have included British Aerospace, Imperial College, the NHS, Lancashire & Cumbria Constabulary, Lancashire County Council and a number of other schools, colleges and workplaces across the country.
I am not only a dyslexia assessor, but a fully qualified English teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching students with dyslexia and associated disabilities.
I hold full membership of PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties) with indemnity Insurance and an enhanced DBS check.
I work as an associate assessor for The British Dyslexia Association and I am an approved assessor for this national charity. I also work as an associate assessor for Imperial College, London.
I have a current Assessment Practicing Certificate which means my assessments are valid for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) and are carried out to the highest standards following SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) guidelines.
I worked to gain the first Dyslexia Friendly Kite Mark for an FE College in Lancashire, North West England.
